Cinder – DOB 3/19/09 Ivy X Kalypso = Cinder is a lovely that was a bit of a surprise in many ways. I wasn’t sure until the last week or so if her first-timer mom, Ivy was even bred. Ivy is a white cf doe so chances of color were slim and considering the woeful stories of a heavy buck kid year going around (including my own) she was an awesome end of the season surprise. Her front half of her left foot is white and also sports a white anklet so it looks like she is wearing a glass slipper. She has grown into a fine doe and we are anxious to welcome he future kids to the farm.

Ivy – DOB 1/16/08 Asti X Thorn = Ivy is a lovely white color factored doe. Her parents are from Selk’s Thunderhead Farm in Redmond, OR. She is very well covered and her fiber has lots of luster. She had a trace of red roaning at birth and we hoped some day she would give us a colored kid. We were unsure if she was bred until about a week before she delivered and what a surprise to see her red kid and a doe at that. Gold Star to Ivy for ending the season so spectacularly.

Chulita-DOB 3/9/10 Dapl X Kalypso. We really liked this breeding last year and kept her full sister Taboo from last year. This little doe is always on the go and hard to get a good picture of her. A cutie but very shy and sticks close to her mother.

1/26/03 Calico Farms welcomes Kalypso. His genetics go back to Stan Sours Dallas and Eartha lines, but we purchased him from Singing Falls Ranch. He is a glorious chocolate brown color right now and Alexandra said to expect a fleece of brown and the next one a taupe. This colorful guy will be our main buck for this fall and we are excited to see his kids in the spring. Besides his lovely locks he has a gentle personality and we thank Stan and Alexandra for passing this wonderful buck on so we can tap into some of his great genetics.

DOB 3/15/04 Salina comes to us (reluctantly) from Thunderhead Farms in Redmond, OR. She was champion aged doe at Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival for fall of '07. This is an outstanding doe and we were so happy she decided give Toni twin doe kids this spring so she could come live with us. We can hardly wait to see her kids in the spring. Thank you Thunderhead Farms for sharing her and her great genetics.
